Value of Life: Embracing Transformation and Growth

Life is full of challenges, but one of the most inspiring examples comes from the eagle. When an eagle grows old, it faces many difficulties that make survival seem almost impossible. Its beak becomes curved, making it hard to eat, and its feathers grow so long and heavy that it can no longer fly high. At this stage, the eagle has two choices: accept defeat and give up, or endure pain and transform itself to live longer. The eagle chooses the latter. It flies to the mountains, where it isolates itself to begin an incredible transformation process. First, it breaks its curved beak by repeatedly striking it against a rock. This is not only painful but also requires immense courage and determination. Once the old beak falls off, a new one starts to grow in its place. Next, the eagle uses its new beak to pluck out its old, heavy feathers, one by one. This process is slow and excruciating, but the eagle remains calm and patient throughout. It takes nearly 120 days for the eagle to grow new feathers and a fresh, sharp beak. Once the transformation is complete, the eagle is renewed and ready to soar to great heights once again. With its new strength, it can live for another 20 years. This story of the eagle is a powerful reminder of the value of life and the strength it takes to face hardships. It teaches us that transformation is never easy, but it’s often necessary for growth and survival. Like the eagle, we should embrace challenges with patience and determination, trusting that they will make us stronger in the end. We should also take a moment to thank Allah for the blessings in our lives. Compared to the eagle, our challenges are much easier to bear, yet they still teach us valuable lessons. The eagle’s journey inspires us to remain calm, face our struggles, and turn over a new leaf whenever life demands it.
